Mayor Coleman and Area Veterans Groups Team up with the Columbus Crew for Operation Unity
A coalition of federal, state and local groups are coming together with the City of Columbus and the Columbus Crew to sponsor Military Night and Operation Unity at Crew Stadium for central Ohio veterans. This event allows local Military members, Veterans, and their families to have access to a one-stop shop for veteran services information. Experts will be on site to offer help on veteran benefits and contact resources geared towards VA health care, education, finding jobs, rights as veterans, city, state and federal benefits. There are 1,000 FREE tickets to be handed out to Military, Veterans and their families for the Columbus Crew soccer game later that evening.

Mayor, City Auditor, City Council Join Residents and Neighborhood Leaders to Unveil $1.66 Billion 2008 Voted Bond Package
This November, voters can support a plan to drive new investment into neighborhoods and to create thousands of new jobs in construction and in growing private industries.  Today, Mayor Michael B. Coleman, City Auditor Hugh J. Dorrian, City Council President Michael C. Mentel and President Pro-Tem Kevin L. Boyce joined residents and neighborhood leaders to unveil the $1.66 billion, 6-issue, 2008 Voted Bond Package that will be on the November 4 ballot.

2012 Bicentennial Commission Presents its Findings: ?Blueprint for the Bicentennial? presented to Mayor Coleman and City Council by Co-Chairs

After a year of public input from thousands of residents, the 2012 Bicentennial Commission co-chairs presented the “Blueprint for the Bicentennial” to Mayor Michael B. Coleman and members of City Council. In transmitting its summary report, the Commission Co-Chairs called their findings “a roadmap towards a new legacy for our healthy and growing city.”
